Reflections Part 2

Published by ashkalimba at 2:17 am under Photography Edit This

I would define still-life photography as giving a personality to an inanimate object. Here are a few attempts I have made at this. It was my hope that all the reflections in these photos would enhance them by making them a little more dimensional. The third was an early attempt at a product photo.

It’s hard to take good looking pictures of stuff that’s not naturally occurring out in the world, ya know? People and oceans and mountains and animals and sunsets all have their beauty and mystery in common. What is so beautiful about household objects or a plate of cookies? I welcome the challenge faced by trying to figure out what makes these things come alive.
