I dare you to not take my picture.

Published by ashkalimba at 6:53 am under Photography Edit This

The pictures of the cigarette butts in the previous post was another instance of me scrambling at the last minute to get something put together to present to a photo professor. You see, I am a very “procrastination oriented learner”. I was pretty stressed out at the time I had taken those shots. I think I snapped the last one literally twenty minutes before class started and I still needed to walk quite a distance back to my dorm room and re-size them and what not.

But, during the walk back, I saw the cat. It looked just the way it does in that picture long enough for me to take at least fifteen more. Despite the fact that I was making myself more late, I couldn’t pull myself away. This cat never budged; never blinked. It might have let me take hundreds more had I had the time. I felt as though not taking the picture would have been criminal. Imagine walking past this scene with the natural framing so accommodating and wonderful! Imagine walking past such a willing subject! Oh joy, that I did not- that I could not.
