There is so much we still don’t know about the world and all its inhabitants. But some of the things we do know are quite fascinating. Did you know that some male spiders pluck their cobwebs like guitars to attract a mate? Or that fried spiders taste like nuts?

Up until recently, I have always been afraid of these little eight-legged freaks, though I’m not quite sure why. There are 35,000 known species of spiders, but only twenty-seven of those species are known to have caused human fatalities.

Out of the one known species of human, one is known to have caused human fatalities.

I’m no mathematician. Maybe you are.

But I’m not afraid of spiders anymore.
